MOQ & Pricing FAQ

Common questions about minimum orders, pricing structures, and costs

Can I order less than the stated minimum order quantities?
Some manufacturers may accept lower quantities for initial test orders, but per-unit costs will be significantly higher. We recommend discussing your volume needs upfront so we can match you with manufacturers whose MOQ structures align with your requirements.
MOQs depend on factory setup costs, fabric minimum orders from mills, production line efficiency, and the complexity of your product. Larger factories with high-volume operations typically require higher MOQs, while smaller facilities may offer more flexibility at higher per-unit prices.
FOB (Free On Board) pricing includes all manufacturing costs, factory packaging, and delivery to the port of shipment. It does not include international shipping, customs duties, import taxes, or domestic delivery in the destination country.
Better pricing typically comes from: higher order volumes, multi-order commitments, simplified designs, standard materials, flexible timelines, and building long-term relationships with manufacturers. We can help structure orders to optimize your cost per unit.
Sample costs are generally non-refundable and paid upfront. However, some manufacturers may credit sample costs against bulk production orders if you proceed with a significant order. This should be negotiated before sample development begins.
Beyond FOB pricing, budget for: sample development costs, quality inspection fees, international shipping (sea or air), customs duties, import taxes, and domestic logistics. We can help you understand the full landed cost picture during our consultation.
